The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident

Vince Zampella, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.

His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.

The influential game designer lost his life when his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
