In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.

The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Features

Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
